So far, I've tried the grounding electrodes on 2 people. The first client (KK) noticed a lot of body sensations with the electrodes and we were able to move to much deeper work more quickly in her session. I sent her home with a grounding band and cord to try on a pulled muscle.
For the next client (TR), I checked the integrity of her energy system BEFORE I hooked up her K1's. I wrote down everything that was out and then rechecked her after five minutes of grounding. Only two things did not correct. After ten minutes, everything had balanced. I kept her hooked up for an hour, then checked after ten minutes to see what had held. Everything was still strong. TR stated for dinner, so we had a chance to check her system again after two hours. This time everything except two things had held. The two things that went out were areas related to her chronic issue- a spleen point and abdominal points. I sent her home with a band and some electrodes and we'll check again in a week.
Client Updates 8/19/11
I'm finding some pretty intriguing stuff. I have been starting my sessions by doing a comprehensive assessment of my client's basic energies, but not correcting anything. Then I have them lay down on the massage table which has one of the grounding devices on it (electrodes, earthing sheet or mat). I wait five minutes and retest their basic energies. What have I found? 90% of the people have corrected ALL the basic energies that were "out". The other 10% self correct after five more minutes. I leave them "plugged-in" for the rest of the session while I do whatever balancing I need to do, then unplug them, wait five minutes, then retest everything. Everything is holding well.
Why is this important? Well, it shows that the basic energies are quickly brought into line by just five minutes of earthing- pretty impressive. It also gives me a balanced platform for doing the rest of the session. If I can work from a point of knowing that ALL the basic energies are balanced (and will stay that way while I work) I can move more quickly into deeper work and I can more easily identify chronic issues.
Is it magic? Nope, it's not. Some things it does not seem to correct, at least not quickly like the basic energies. It doesn't balance the chakras, correct yin/yang balance, or balance the five rhythms. Interestingly though, it does seem to calm triple warmer and most of my clients report feeling calm yet energized. Recently I have been doing a lot of seed cell work (deep correction of chronic issues) while clients are plugged-in and have found the cells to balance more quickly with less recidivism. I am encouraged that this is a valuable addition to my work. Yeah!
